Regional Sales Manager

Regional Sales Manager - Up to 40k basic salary plus a fully expensed car, excellent bonus scheme and a pension. Market leading European Manufacturer of high quality packaging machinery and bespoke service contracts predominantly for the Food and Industrial sectors. This role will cover the East of the UK with a focus on the Lincolnshire and surrounding region.

The Company

The company manufactures high end machinery into core areas such as heavy industry and retail as well as the leading food and pharmaceutical producers. As well as this the company offers a technically superb support and aftersales service. There is a balanced split between these two areas of the business. With a solid brand and superb infrastructure, the company is now looking to strengthen its UK business. Due to the exciting and cutting edge launch of a pioneering piece of equipment and constant investment into the UK business, this is the ideal time for an outstanding Regional Sales Manager to join the well-established UK team.

The Role

Reporting to the senior management, you will be selling capital equipment primarily into FMCG manufacturing environments. Your role will be to strategically win and grow profitable business in line with the company's growth potential. Based from home, you will inherit an established region that has several accounts. These accounts will be a combination of large and profitable blue chip businesses, OEM's and SME's. Initially, the role will be focused on winning new business, ideally within the food and pharmaceutical sectors, then managing the project from start to finish with a view to retain these businesses as long term clients which you will then manage. You will also work closely with the After Sales team, passing each other qualified leads and potential opportunities. You will use your relationship and influencing skills to drive margin and develop lasting relationships with key companies within the sector representing this excellent brand.

The Applicant

Based in East of the UK (as close to Lincolnshire as possible), you will be an experienced Sales Manager/Business Developer from either within the (Packaging or Processing) Machinery sector or other related markets such as the OEM'S and you will have sold capital equipment into manufacturing environments. With a technical grounding, you will be a commercially astute business winner who can manage added value project sales and who is margin and profit driven in your approach. New business aside, you will have added value to existing accounts highlighted by the accounts' growth in margin and turnover. A knowledge/understanding of the food manufacturers would be of value but not a requirement. With the ability to operate at all levels, you will be tenacious and hungry and be able to realise the career opportunities in this market leading business.
